Mr. Met apparently gave this rude gesture to a group of fans last night, although when you have hands like his, it’s hard to discern which one is in the middle. The team says that several employees don the costume, but this particular one will not be trusted to do so again. My question is — how will we know?
Tiger’s arrest tape was released. Everyone says we shouldn’t speculate but come on, in the absence of factual information, that’s what we do, whether we admit to it or not. As long as it’s not irresponsible and harmful, why not try to connect the dots? Of course, when it comes to matters that could change the world, it can be dangerous to make assumptions and act on them, but in this case, let me echo what many are thinking.
Tiger, because of his recent back surgeries, is on painkillers and is in danger of becoming, or already is, addicted to them. Bret Favre confessed to this years ago and many athletes have succumbed. We all hope that this was an isolated incident and that the combination of air travel and confusion on which pills he had already taken was the culprit. If not, let’s hope he gets help and kicks this thing. 6/1/17
