Matt Harvey’s recovery from TOS has taken a setback. Velocity is way down and he’s going to the doctor. Lucky for the Mets, they now have enough quality starters to weather his absence, but truthfully, he hasn’t been very good anyway. A couple weeks rest or shut him down for an extended period?

Walker looks headed for the DL, another non contact injury. With he and Cabrera out, maybe Rosario will be up sooner, but all indications are he needs to work on his plate discipline to make the jump. Cespedes is obviously still hurting. Will this guy’s legs ever be right? In any case, a big win for the Mets as they attempt to climb back to respectability. Washington looms.

On the west coast, Pineda’s home/road splits continue to widen. Judge can’t come through and save them every time, but he’s raised our sights so far that we now expect him to.

Personal note: This would have been my mom’s 93rd birthday. We need to find a cure for Alzheimer’s.
